BKC was founded to address the lack of sustainable biomass systems and the dependence on imported activated carbon. It operates as a company aiming to revolutionize the activated carbon industry in Turkey. The company was founded by a team of experienced mechanical engineers and specialized academics in activated carbon and biomass-to-carbon conversion projects. This team forms the basis of BKC's innovative approach. The contributions of engineers and industry experts with over 30 years of experience played a critical role in shaping BKC's ambitious plans. Sales teams in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany supported the company in gaining a global perspective; research trips to China allowed for firsthand observation of the latest developments in activated carbon production. With the knowledge and inspiration gained, the team adopted the goal of achieving self-sufficiency in activated carbon production in Turkey. This decision marked a turning point for BKC, demonstrating the company's commitment to establishing efficient, state-of-the-art facilities within the country. The mechanical team, in collaboration with chemists and engineers, designed and implemented a rotary kiln for BKC's inaugural project, showcasing their dedication to technology.
